BUILDING DEPARTMENT
A building permit gives you legal permission to start construction of a building project in accordance with a set of approved drawings and specifications.
A permit is required for all new construction, remodels, accessory buildings, sheds, garages, finishing of a basement, decks, solar, fencing, pools, sport courts, driveway reconfigurations or placements, rock or retaining walls over 4 feet, changes in electrical service and/or gas lines.
Building applications will be reviewed only after a complete application has been submitted, including all required documentation and payment of the required deposit. Submittal requirements and detailed instructions are available under the Permit Checklists
