15 Jul 2019 Water Restrictions
Because of a combination of new growth and very hot recent temperatures, the Maple Canyon Well and pump are under stress. In order to protect our water system, the City Council is implementing immediate water restrictions on outdoor water usage.
We are restricting residents to watering only every other day. We request that even numbered homes begin with watering today (Monday), and odd numbered homes begin with tomorrow (Tuesday). Then every other day hereafter. It is our hope that this will be simple to program into automatic sprinkler systems. Additionally, there should be no outdoor watering between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m.
If we can reduce our outdoor demands with these simple measures, it will avert the need to implement stronger measures.
(We know that some good citizens have brand new landscaping that may need temporary special consideration. If you need an exception to the above restrictions, please contact the City by email – or come in to the office. Please include your name; address; what your need is; the additional time you need to water; and how long in duration you anticipate the exception. [I.e.: John Smith; XXX Woodland Hills Dr; I have put in new sod and am requesting to water every day for one hour for three weeks.] )
Thank you so much for your cooperation in this urgent matter.
